Capturing Today's Moments: Creating Tomorrow's Memories

August 31, 2014
Someone is missing. Our youngest daughter Emily moved into an apartment in Austin so she can continue on with her BFA in Dance at The University of Texas. We miss her.
Seeing her very empty, because she took everything with her, room has been so hard. It took me 2 weeks just to open the door and when I did.. oh man the sobs came on hard. Instead of leaving it so empty and a constant reminder that she is off on her own, my husband and I decided to turn it into an office.
So yesterday we got a futon and a few other things to go with a beach themed office. The futon is for Em to sleep on when she comes home. Today Ian set up the futon and some side tables. Together we moved our desks in. Then we got everything set up and decorated. We have a few things ordered that are still coming. One is a really pretty 3 canvas wall art piece of an ocean sunset. It will go on the wall over Ian's desk. The other is a TiVo mini and TiVo remote so we can get the TV we bought working in the office as well. I will post some photos soon.
