May 4, 2009 - The Coyle House
This home belonged to one of the founding members of our small city. Recently it was moved from its original location to the park beside the community center. A tollroad is going through were it was originally. The scandal involved in moving this house was unbelievable. It could not be torn down because it has Texas Historic Landmark status.
I personally am very glad they moved it. Now I wish they would open it as a living museum run by volunteers. I certainly would volunteer for that - it would be so much fun.
Side note - my first HDR that I am really "kinda" happy with. Not perfect - but getting better.

on May 4, 2009Very nice render. Interesting architecture on the house, too. I tried to find the age of the house online, but it wasn't mentioned. Looking at the town history, though, this must date to the late 19th century. It's interesting to compare the architecture from that time period in your home-town with what we have up here. Late 19th century in RI would typically be 3 tenement apartments or mill row houses! I'll have to make it a point to photograph and post a sample sometime this week.
