Capturing Today's Moments: Creating Tomorrow's Memories

Daily Photo - June 2009

We had a WONDERFUL time at Disney World. Our trip went by way to fast. The heat wasn't so bad, but the humidity was tough and slowed us down. It is actually hotter here in Dallas then it was there - but we do not have the humidity so it is much more tolerable. I took over 4000 photos while we were there. I know that seems like a huge amount, but I did a lot of multiple exposures, angles... and also a lot of bracketing. I really love HDR and want to improve my skills with it - so I made a point of bracketing anything that I thought might make a decent HDR.
This was taken at T-Rex - a new restaurant at Downtown Disney. We ate there our first night in Orlando - the night before we checked into our Disney resort. We really enjoyed it. This was not bracketed - but I did play around with it in Topaz using some of the free presets I found on the net to get an HDR effect.
I hope I don't bore you too much with all of the Disney photos I will be posting for well - probably quite a while. It will take me days if not weeks to get through them all and play around with them like I want to.

on June 29, 2009This is a fantastic photo, JD! If my kids were still young, I would buy this photo, poster-size and put it there room! Great HDR look to the detail.
I am a topaz user as well so you have peaked my interest with finding presets on the net. I didn't know you could do that. It will be this first thing on my to-do list in the morning.
